We can’t believe that Chevron asked Adam McKay to make an ad for them.
This is the original video that inspired the idea for Yellow Dot six months ago. We’re re-releasing it on May 31, 2023 because today is Chevron’s annual shareholder meeting and since Chevron is still actively murdering all life on this planet, this video hasn’t aged a day.

In 2003, Chevron was found liable for decades of dumping billions of gallons of cancer-causing oil waste in Indigenous ancestral lands of the Amazon basin. The judgement by the court in Ecuador resulted in a $9.5 billion judgement against Chevron, an amount the company has yet to pay.
Instead, Chevron has spent years personally persecuting the attorney who led the legal case, Steven Donziger, who spent almost 3 years on house arrest and in prison for a misdemeanor contempt of court charge that carries a maximum sentence of 180 days. A UN panel found that the actions against him were a violation of his human rights. Steven is out of detention but faces continued retribution from Chevron, who took his law license, confiscated his passport, and continues to threaten his detention through a pending civil case.
